Grad school in Psychology? PhD?
Hi, I graduated from a small liberal arts college with a 3.58 overall and a 3.59 in psychology. However, my GPA for the last 3 years was a 3.81. For the las 2 years it was a 3.89. And, for the last year it was 4.0. I had two minors: Health 4.0 GPA and Public Health Studies 4.0. I took the GREs and scored 1420 (Verbal 690 –I'm hispanic and came to the US the year before getting into college– vs Quant 730). I did bad during my first semester and ad trouble with the language (was a Biology major and repeated organic chemistry twice) but later rebounded. I was a Res. Assistant for 5 semester and was in the E-Board of the Psychology, Latino, and Habitat for Humanity Clubs. I am member of the psi chi (psychology honors club) and ODK (a leadership honors society). I have some practical experience in Psychology and in Epidemiology. I have good letter of recommendation and good personal statements. Also, I was very active in the community. I wanna get into a PhD program in Developmental Psychology or Health Psychology. What do you think? Do I have a chance of getting into a PhD program?
Thanks!
